The Learning and Guidance Center offers all members of a family the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills needed to become successful in life, school, and work.
We maintain ongoing communication with support systems and continually adjust our program to improve our clients' effectiveness.

We also offer college and career counseling for students and adults in need of direction, re-direction, or expert support on how to proceed successfully along their chosen life paths.
We have worked with thousands of families over the years, providing both counseling and tutoring. We have worked in association with the Petaluma, Old Adobe, Meadow, Liberty, and Two Rock School Districts to provide services for students and their families. We have consulted with dozens of businesses in the community to aid with managing growth and change in their industries.
Educational Evaluations
PLGC offers thorough, private, and confidential educational evaluations for elementary through high school students.
Our evaluations can determine:
- Cognitive development
- Learning disabilities
- Perceptual difficulties, autism, Asperger's, and non-verbal learning disabilities
- Academic issues
- Behavioral issues
- ADD/ADHD screening
- Emotional disturbances

The evaluation process includes:
- Parent interviews
- Health and developmental history overview
- Records review
- Consultations with appropriate involved professionals
- School observations (as needed)
- Written report and recommendations
- Final assessment consultation review with parents
- Referrals as needed
